Established in 2018 in Bethesda, MD, USA, Warped Motor Sports LLC. is a professional motor sports entertainment business and the home of both the Toxic and Illuminator monster trucks. The team at Warped Motor Sports has earned a reputation for bringing excitement and fun wherever they appear, and are dedicated to giving the spectators a thrill every time they hit the track.
TEAM FOUNDER AND OWNER JAY SNYDER GOT HIS START IN MONSTER TRUCK RACING OVER 20 YEARS AGO WITH HIS FIRST TRUCK – THE UNDERTAKER “MONSTER HEARSE”
HE QUICKLY UPGRADED HIS EQUIPMENT TO THE MUCH MORE MODERN SCREAMIN’ DEMON MONSTER TRUCK IN 2004
Opportunity and circumstances had him moving up to an even better chassis in 2010, which he modified to become the original Illuminator monster truck
In 2012, Hot Wheels redesigned the graphics for Illuminator for a more sophisticated look, while preserving the original “light-up” effect. At this point, Jay’s son and second-generation driver, Cory Snyder, started taking turns piloting this beautiful beast.
After a brief hiatus from the sport, The Snyders returned to the scene with full force in 2018 with the acquisition of Toxic – an awesome machine, turn-key built by the legendary fabricator Dan Patrick. Toxic already had a solid reputation and a strong fan base, and Team Snyder strived to expand it. Cory took on the role of full-time driver, with Jay as crew chief and team manager. The father-son duo continued to grow the popularity of Warped Motor Sports, running in countless events throughout the eastern United States.
In 2020, the next big step in the evolution of Team Warped was made. A long time friendship with Rick and Ryan Disharoon from The Metal Shop was rekindled, and with their help, Toxic 2.0 was created. It features a state-of-the-art chassis design, top-quality fabrication, and revolutionary technology, and proudly represents the next generation of performance race vehicles.
In August of 2022, The Metal Shop chassis was outfitted with a brand new Illuminator body, and a crowd favorite was brought back to life, ready to impress and delight fans again – both old and new.
Warped Motor Sports now campaigns both trucks: Toxic with Preston Perez as the full-time driver, and Illuminator with Cory Snyder representing. Warped Motor Sports is always ready to take on the competition and wow fans as they continue to push the envelope – and push these machines to new heights!
