It’s officially summer time – and in the world of monster truck racing, that means that outdoor events are in full swing. The month of June was and will be the busiest month of the year for Warped Motor Sports, as the team competed in three venues in three different states over three consecutive weekends. Despite minor mechanical mishaps along the way, plenty of wins and plenty of fun was had by Team Warped.

The month of action kicked off at team lead Cory Snyder’s hometown venue – The Great Frederick Fairgrounds in Frederick, MD. It didn’t get much closer to home than this for Snyder and with plenty of family and friends in attendance, he turned up the heat behind the wheel of the Toxic monster truck. With 3 full events on the docket, Cory and his father, team founder and owner Jay Snyder, worked tirelessly to ensure Toxic was set to kill – and it did just that. Cory & Toxic would take home all three event championships with ease, including a number of individual competition wins along the way. The only damage report – a broken oil pump that was replaced the day after the dust settled.

The momentum continued to Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, DE. The world’s first LED-outlined monster truck Illuminator would return to action after receiving a freshly rebult 540 cubic inch supercharged big block engine. Axe driver Joe Foley would step up and help break in the fresh bullet at the summer’s biggest event on the Eastern Shore.

Foley and Snyder would represent Warped Motor Sports well, with a semi-final round appearance in racing from Foley & Illuminator and hard-charging freestyle performances from both drivers. The capacity crowd in Delaware got their money’s worth from Team Warped.

As an annual tradition, monster trucks descend upon Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, MA on Father’s Day for a couple rounds of car-crushing freestyle action. It’s very seldom that Warped Motor Sports gets the opportunity to appear at an exhibition event that’s comprised of exclusively junk vehicles as freestyle obstacles, so drivers Cory Snyder and Daniel Donnelly took advantage of that and worked those junk cars until they were completely unrecognizable.

Despite a tire falling victim to shrapnel from one of the full-sized vans, Snyder and Donnelly left a great impression on the passionate Massachusetts fans for the team’s first appeance in Seekonk with both Toxic and Illuminator.

Many thanks to the Warped Motor Sports fans for the continued support as the team trucks forward with the summer season! Another thanks goes out to Renegade Monster Trucks and The Metal Shop for hosting some fantastic events at The Great Frederick Fair, Delaware International Speedway, and Seekonk Speedway.
