There’s something to be said about the energy of an audience lifting the spirits of any performer. Whether it’s an artist gracing a stage, or a professional monster truck driver strapping in and taking control of a 12,000 pound vehicle. When an audience, as a collective, exudes an energy of excitement, anticipation, and high engagement, performers will make sure they put out their best effort – and then some. Shelby, North Carolina had that audience.

Team drivers Cory Snyder and Preston Perez along with team crew chief Zach Winchenbach endeavored to the Cleveland County Fairgrounds to compete in front of not one, but two sold out audiences in an attempt to further solidify their top spots in the 2025 All Star Monster Truck Tour points chase.

As seen in the picture above, not only did Perez take home an event championship, but Snyder was able to earn one as well. For the first time in the 2025 race season, fans across both event days got to witness an all Warped winner’s circle. Perez and Toxic took home the racing, best trick competition, and overall event championship while Snyder and Illuminator took home the freestyle competition win all at event #1. In event #2, the winners remained the same – just with a little shuffling around. Snyder would collect the racing, freestyle, and overall event championship while Perez would win the best trick competition.

To compete at a venue in a city that the team has never competed at before and walk away with not only every competition victory but thousands of new fans is truly a testament to the hard work of the drivers and crew behind-the-scenes to ensure that every fan feels the passion and energy through the driving on-track. Shelby, North Carolina may not be the most-known city in the Tar Heel State, but to Team Warped, it’s now known as the city with the most hardcore audience on the All Star Monster Truck Tour.
