The 2025 All Star Monster Truck Tour points chase has proven to be a true test of both driver and truck endurance so far. After the roller coaster of emotions the first three stops of the series provided for the team, all members looked to 5 Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida as the beacon of hope to start the upward trend of winning once again – and it was exactly that.
Toxic Monster Truck racing

After catastrophic engine failure the previous weekend in Brooksville, FL, Preston Perez was looking to the weekend in Pensacola as his redemption arc behind-the-wheel of the Toxic monster truck. All eyes were on him to see if the new engine paired with some pent-up frustration from missing passes the previous weekend was going to be the winning combination. Needless to say, it was. Despite not reclaiming the #1 spot, Perez was able to work from fifth to fourth with ease plus earn an event championship at the Sunday afternoon event.

Cory Snyder would continue his winning ways at 5 Flags Speedway. The Illuminator monster truck has been set to kill the last 3 stops of the series after some minor tuning changes plus fresh top-end engine components. The Saturday afternoon event championship had Snyder and Illuminator written all over it. This would mean that Warped Motor Sports was leaving Pensacola, Florida with a sweep of the weekend’s event championships, bringing plenty of hardware home to Maryland.

The winning ways seemed to have worked their way back into Perez’s playbook, now with a fresh power plant between Toxic’s frame rails and a renewed confidence in the equipment. Snyder is continuing his momentum week-to-week and not skipping a single beat so far on this series. It’s going to be intense this coming weekend at Mobile International Speedway in Mobile, Alabama – the first stop of this series outside of the state of Florida.
