Past the tree line on Dunahoo Road lies Winder Barrow Speedway – a unsuspecting race track on first glance, yet when you sit in the grandstands and feel the horsepower rattle through the framework of those seats, an adrenaline-fueled charm washes over. That invigorating feeling of high energy excitement led to two sold-out audiences cheering on Warped Motor Sports as Toxic and Illuminator powered their way to a return to form at the 6th stop of the 2025 All Star Monster Truck Tour points series.

Despite the running area being smaller than most other stops on the series so far, that did not stop seasoned drivers Cory Snyder and Preston Perez from utilizing every square foot of that space to thrill the fans and go for the victory every time they hit the track.

Snyder has been consistently running in the top half of the field each weekend since a fresh engine was dropped between the frame rails of the world’s first LED-outlined monster truck Illuminator. Those winning ways continued in Winder, with an event championship win at the Sunday afternoon event and a racing victory to boot. It was also the first appearance in 2025 of Illuminator under the lights and the audience loved watching the truck perform with its blue and white strobing effects.

Discussing the weekend in Winder wouldn’t be complete without highlighting Preston Perez and the green and black destruction machine Toxic. Perez dealt with a spell of engine problems in Brooksville, Florida a few weeks prior and those mechanical disadvantages led to Toxic dropping to 5th place in series points. With a weekend off from competition and a fresh outlook on the second half of the series, Perez put the blinders on and set out on the redemption arc.

Fans got to witness one of Perez’s best performances of the 2025 season, with great best trick competition performances and consistent freestyle runs, plus a barn burner of a performance on Saturday night with a flat tire for nearly the entire freestyle run, Toxic ended up back in the 1st place position of series points. Fans left entertained, Toxic was loaded in the trailer in one piece, and Perez, Snyder, and team crew chief Zach Winchenbach left Winder with a feeling of gratification – the feeling that endless days of hard work and problem solving have finally paid off.
